DAW: Zynewave - Podium 1.95

Zynewave updates the digital audio workstation Podium to version 1.95.
Here are the changes:

  • Arrangements can be configured to use either "compact" or "expanded" track layout mode. The expanded mode is identical to the layout used in previous Podium versions. The new compact mode is designed to simplify common tasks such as managing effect chains directly on the track lane headers. There are controls for adjusting sends, bypassing effects, opening editors, enabling plugin automation recording and bounce rendering. Pan and gain sliders are embedded at the top of the lane header. The layout mode is selected in the arrangement properties dialog.
  • In compact mode parameter tracks are placed below the source track lane. Parameter tracks controlling plugins further up the chain is shown with the parameter name followed by the plugin name in parentheses.
  • The track menu in compact mode has been redesigned. There are submenus for assigning inputs, outputs, instruments, effects, presets and parameters. The clipboard submenu has a "replace effect chain" command (Shift+Ctrl+V) which allows you to copy a track and paste its channel strip to other tracks. Full track management is now possible without using the track inspector.
  • Added a "move track" submenu to the track menu. If it's an effect track, there are commands for moving the effect within the effect chain. If it's a lane track there are commands for moving the track within the parent group, moving the track to a different group, and moving a range of tracks into a new group. Shortcuts Ctrl+PageUp and Ctrl+PageDn can be used to move a track up and down within the parent group.
  • Added "Set default track height" command to the track menu. Separate heights are stored for standard tracks and for parameter tracks. The command sets the default height used for new tracks, and also applies the height to all existing tracks.
  • The track inspector group panel has been divided into blocks for each effect chain (e.g. master chain, group chain and audio/instrument chain). There is a menu button next to each block with shortcuts for selecting tracks within the parent group.
  • Added "use as group track" option to the track properties dialog. Group tracks have an additional "new child track" command in the track menu, and will appear in the move track group submenus. Note that a track without the group option enabled may still appear as a group track if you have used expanded layout mode to set up more than one child track.
  • Deleting a track will automatically delete any child parameter tracks.
  • Deleting a track in compact track layout mode will delete all chained effect tracks.
  • Specifying a color for a track will apply to parent tracks in a track chain if a color is not specified for the parent tracks.
  • Changed the track luminance offsets in the color setup dialog to apply to group, bounce and parameter tracks. The luminance offsets are now also applied to the track headers, so that track header and events on the track are colored identically.
  • Added "group separation space" and "track header color opacity" settings to the tracks region properties dialog.
  • Added "black/white key intensity" setting to the piano roll properties dialog. Setting this to 100% will paint solid black/white keys.
  • Added "hide muted ghost notes" option to the piano roll region dialog.
  • The project name written in the browser page tab will blink once, as confirmation when saving the project.
  • The E shortcut key closes the editor if the plugin window has focus.
  • Fix: The merge sequence command was not working properly when used in arrangements configured for linear time resolution.
