A parametric eq is a must to have. MasterQ is one of the better commercial ones.
PSP MasterQ is a high quality parametric equalizer designed to operate at sampling rates ranging from 44.1 to 192kHz .The plug-in (VST, DirectX and RTAS for Windows; AudioUnit, VST, RTAS for Mac OS X (Universal Binary) contains seven filters: 12 or 24 dB/oct low cut and high cut filters, low shelf and high shelf filters, and low mid, middle and high mid peaking filters—all of them with adjustable frequency and Q factor over a wide range. The plug-in also includes a high precision EQ graph to display an overview of the EQ curve, as well as display the individual characteristics of each filter.

We are pleased to inform that we have updated our PSP MasterQ equalizer plug-in for both Mac OSX (AudioUnit, VST, RTAS) and Windows (VST, DirectX, RTAS) to version 1.5.0. The new version for Mac OSX is Universal Binary, so the plug-in can be used on both PowerPC and Intel-based Macintosh computers.
Due to the large amount of work required for porting the plug-in to Universal Binary, we are charging Mac OSX users a small maintenance fee of USD 19.00. Customers who put the PSP VintageWarmer2 into their shopping cart as well will pay even less - USD 10.00.
As previously promised, all users who bought PSP MasterQ after March 13th, 2006 get the new version for free. The users of NFR versions are entitled to free copy as well.
The previous version of PSP MasterQ needs to be uninstalled before installation of the new version.
We have also updated and integrated our registration center with our online shop in order to offer you a simpler, more straightforward registration process.

You can now choose between two available copy protection systems for your best convenience:
- native protection which uses authorization key,
- iLok protection with license held on USB dongle.
Depending on which copy protection system you want to use, the proper installer program have to be downloaded.
To authorize the plug-in which uses native authorization the valid authorization key needs to be entered on plug-in startup. The authorization key is shown in product details in PSP Registration Center.
Please note that new version of PSP MasterQ requires new, different authorization key which will be generated for you in the purchase process.
To get the iLok authorization please follow these steps:
- get an iLok USB dongle. You can buy one f.ex. from Digidesign dealer,
- open an account at the iLok.com webpage if you don't have one yet,
- set the iLok.com UserID field in your account settings at PSP Registration Center to the correct value identifying your iLok.com account,
- request the iLok license by clicking the link in product details in PSP Registration Center,
- once you've been informed by email that your license is ready (it may take up to 24 hours from the request time) login to your iLok.com account and download the license to your iLok USB dongle.
- make sure you have latest InterLok drivers installed - you can download these drivers from Pace Anti-Piracy website: http://www.paceap.com
